Easter Traditions

We continued the tradition of making our Easter baskets together each year.  This year they were somewhat simpler than in the past, but everyone still had fun and that was the point in the first place.  Spencer and Ken punching a decorative edge on Spencer's basket.DSC_0041DSC_0042DSC_0045Mark did stars on his and so Abbie and Spencer copied him.  Spencer was SO INTENT on copying Mark, that he insisted that each part was exactly that same and kept getting up to check Mark’s basket to make sure he was copying it right.  Quite a compliment, I thought.  As much as Spencer teases/bothers he really does love his siblings so much.DSC_0046We dyed eggs while Ken was at priesthood meeting.  It was quite fun and the kids didn’t even complain when they only got 4 eggs a piece.  Rubberbands were the hot dying items this year.  And just so I’ll remember in the future, if I boil the eggs again a day ahead of time I need to get them out of the fridge at lunchtime so they can get to room temperature so the crayons/tape/other decorations will stick to them.DSC_0055DSC_0060DSC_0063DSC_0064
