Tad and Lily are quickly becoming Emma's favorite new toys to play with, and Abbie thinks that's great since they were her favorites too.
Helping dad with laundry.
Isaac and I have started playing with potato heads a lot.
Neil's new Frog and Toad books are a big hit.
Too much Christmas fun for this boy. We came home from church at 4 o'clock. Fed him a roll and some hot chocolate, he snitched some chocolate Chex Mix from Becca’s stash and fell asleep by 6 o'clock in front of the wood burning stove.
Emma showing off her cute new dress from Grandma Woodward. I love that it's so warm for her on cold Sundays.
These birds love the berries on our trees out the south facing windows.
Enjoying the snow while we have some.
David and Lisa came down over Christmas break and Jessie gave Ella the owl hat she had made. We played a few games and I'm sure we ate food too.
Spencer and Abbie made a bunch of these paper monsters to play with the little boys. Apparently this monster needed to take a nap...why else would he have a binky?
To celebrate on New Year's Eve we had a little “minute to win it” party, only we weren't too concerned with the time limit; just with having fun. Some of our games included putting 12 skittles on a plate, rolling a ping pong ball to a piece of masking tape that was stretched sticky side up across the entry way, rolling a hard-boiled egg on a platter to try and pick up the pieces of tape, and rolling a marble through a noodle aimed at a Lego in an effort to knock it down. We did this last one over and over again and then again the next day, because everyone had fun trying. Afterwards Jessie was excited to try out her juggling skills with the hard boiled eggs. We also had popcorn in paper sacks so you could put your own seasonings on.
Surprise another selfie on your phone.
The start of a new year was awfully cold…. But not for long.
We made pie to take over to Grandma's house for a New Year’s dinner. Mark and Isaac were my super helpers.
A lovely game of Settlers of Catan ensued when Rachel and Lindsay got here. I think that was Lindsay's first time playing.
New Year's dinner at Grandma's house. We brought Rachel and Lindsay and Scott and his girls came to.
Grandpa gave Emma some candy canes from their Christmas tree and she wasn't about to share them with anyone!
Mark and I laughed and laughed about this comic.
