Last Friday we spent the night with my Grandparents. The kids had blast playing outside and eating popsicles. Mark and I played many games of tetherball. We also tried hitting the badmitten birds back and forth, but since we couldn’t get more than one in a row we decided to just to practice by hitting them to ourselves. Mark’s high score was 11 bounces before the birdie went haywire.Grandma’s roses out front were so spectacular.
She even had these cool single layer roses. They look like a dogwood to me.
Abbie’s favorite thing at Grandma’s is the swing. She had me push her higher and higher until she could touch the tree with her foot. I thought she was surely going to fall out of that swing before she got that high, but she did it. Do you love her tongue sticking out the whole in her smile?
Not wanting to be outdone, or miss out on the fun Mark made it to the tree tops too.Jessie loved the bar on the swing set…and did all sorts of front and backward flips.
While we were there Jessie collected a few snails and cleaned them out of their homes…I’ll spare you the details. But before we left Grandma was the proud owner of her very own homemade snail shell necklace. What a lucky lady!
And last of all, here is one slip n’ slide picture from last week. I accidently cut off Jessie’s head, but check out the splash!
