Still playing catch up… Here are a few of the wedding pictures. The ceremony was very nice. The sealer reminded us of the importance of retuning to the temple often to share the blessings of happiness that we felt at the moment with others who have been waiting for a long time. He also said that as we are performing ordinances for others that we should offer a prayer in their behalf. After the ceremony I helped finish doing Abbie’s hair and the boys went to change into their tuxs at the car.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of Spencer and hope he’ll enjoy them when he is a parent and has a very cute, stubborn little 3 year old of his own.
Here the bride and groom come…
A little adjustment of the bow tie to try and help Spencer know that he wasn’t really choking.
The whole family… notice Spencer is finally looking at the camera. We made a deal with him that if we took the bow tie off he had to promise to try and smile in the rest of the pictures. He was ok with that and was pretty happy for the rest of the time at the temple.
Jessie got a little chilly with the wind blowing, but daddy’s jacket made a great coat. After the temple we went to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for lunch. Little Abbie was so excited to see Aunt Denise that she asked to sit by her. Ken caught this funny picture of her playing with her napkin.
Steph sang a song she had written at the lunch. It was very beautiful. On our way back to the car I took some pictures of the temple and the flowers we saw.
And another picture of Spencer. This time it wasn’t his grumpy face….just him trying to soak himself in the reflecting pool in front of the temple.
And guess what - the ride back home was pretty quiet…
