Heart Attack!

We had a free morning about a week ago and I realized that Ken had gone to SLC for meetings so Abbie, Spencer and I made a little surprise for him for when he got back to the office.DSC_0020

For part of Spirit Week at school one day was backwards day.  Mark went all out!!  Even his pants were backward.  I can’t even imagine how uncomfortable that might have been, but he said it wasn’t too bad.  He even put his backpack on backwards to ride to school.  Thank goodness he didn’t leave his hood up.DSC_0029For Jessie we braided her hair from bottom to top.  She started out with her shirt backwards too, but changed it in the bathroom because it was so annoying.DSC_0030DSC_0033Now this is from about a week and a half ago, but Abbie has been wiggling this tooth FOREVER!!  Spencer was as excited for it to come out as she was.  She so wanted to try and use a straw in her new whole.DSC_0094 Last Friday night I was bored and so we ended up going to a small display up at Thanksgiving Point about your mind, magnets and something else.  The first little display was so cool.  You held some glasses up to you eye that shifted what you saw a little to the left.  Then you had to try and make a basket.  At first you wouldn’t be anywhere close to the basket (even though you knew you should shift where you were throwing).  Then after about 10 throws you could make it every time.  Our brains our so amazing that they could just figure out what to do to correct the problem.  Then you put the glasses down and tried to make a basket and you’d miss everytime.  It took less tries for your brain to figure out how to make it the second time.  But it was still so funny to totally be able to see the basket and watch the ball go the wrong way.DSC_0103 Jessie and Mark weren’t sure if they would be shocked or not with this display and it took a little coaxing for Mark to touch it.DSC_0105Here you tried to get the magnet inside the tube to hover by using the magnet on top. DSC_0114 These are the kids “kissing hedgehogs” they made with magnets and iron shavings.DSC_0117 And here’s a brain game for YOU to try.  See how quickly you can say the name of the color, NOT the color word that is written.  It’s really hard because our brains can read so fast.DSC_0119After we watched one session of General Conference Abbie spelt out Mark’s name.  I love the tiny curve on the “r.”  So cute!DSC_0122

Congratulations on the missing tooth, Abbie! Very cool to have a missing tooth, when you are a kid that is!
