OK, looking back through pictures from the last month we did do something besides sports (even though some days it didn’t seem like it). Here’s a quick recap:
Fancy hair. This is just a twist down each side of her head with the tails twisted and wrapped up to where the twist began. (I’m not even sure that makes sense to me, but it sure looked cool.)

This is Abbie’s home-made slide. She had to reset the blanket over the pillows each time she used it, but it was still a ton of fun. Who knew fuzzy blankets could be so fun.

I guess this was Abbie’s week for pictures because the next two are of the fishing trip she went on with Grandpa and daddy. They got up at some unearthly hour for a Saturday, about 6:15, I think. Jessie and Mark have both gotten to go fishing with Grandpa and a couple of weeks ago Abbie asked him when it would be her turn to go. She had a great morning feeding the fish and watching the ducks at Salem pond.

Ken got the opportunity to fix bike tires and chains multiple times and I cheered him on -- so helpful I know! Well, I did my part after Mark’s tire wouldn’t hold the 26th patch on it and went and bought him a slime filled one. I bought two, just in case, and it’s a good thing because we came home to another flat on Jessie’s bike!

For a play group outing we went and feed the llamas at the Krishna Temple. They really liked the wormy apples Abbie and Spencer picked up in the back yard. (I guess that’s one way to motive kids to pick up apples.) But I’M sure glad I’m not a llama!

The kids really liked this parrot on the way in. He said hello to them many times while they talked to him, and on the way out they went to say good-bye. They tried feeding him a carrot green, but it fell on the ground and when Abbie bent over to pick it up she put her fingers on the cage wire and he tried to eat them. We had a few tears. After that they DID NOT like him any more.

Fancy hair looks way, way fancy! I can not wait to try suck things out on Karina. Michael and Conrad won't let me braid their hair.
Abbie, Conrad loves the stairs at G&G woodwards. He uses a pillow like we did aas kids. I would not suggest that as an adult, it hurts!
I love the picture of Ken helping cast! It looks like they are about to fly into the lake with the bait!
Michael thought feeding the lamas was neat. Abbie, sorry about your fingers! Birds!
