More Giving Thanks…

While my Dad and Rachel went to visit an Aunt in Nephi, the rest of us, except Ken - the poor guy has a job :-) - went up to Thanksgiving Point again.  This time we packed a lunch - roast beef sandwiches on homemade bread, YUMMY, with some apples and what ended up to be stale cheese pretzels, NOT SO YUMMY!DSC_0047

At the dino museum I tried to get this picture of my sister with Mark and Spencer, but since I had to do it without a flash, to get the background not to be black, the shutter had to stay open for a while.  I guess Spencer just couldn’t wait that long as you can see him walking out of the picture.

DSC_0055Spencer wasn’t quite so interested in seeing things this time so I took him to the very end that we didn’t get to last time.  He got to play in the sand digging for dinosaur bones.  Actually he mostly re-covered them so someone else could dig them out.DSC_0071 This huge shark is just amazing…I mean….it’s huge!DSC_0074 Getting wet was the next stop while we waited for Dad and Rachel to show up.DSC_0110 To me, this is just gross, but he’s still alive, so I guess it really didn’t matter.DSC_0121 Jessie is so funny.  She’s good at making me smile.  I hope Noah can look down and smile with me.DSC_0136

DSC_0137I noticed I hadn’t gotten a picture of Mark yet…yes, that’s Abbie’s hat he’s soaked.DSC_0138And Karina needed a drink…DSC_0142Oh, the other cool thing we found this time was a nest of baby birds by the bathrooms.DSC_0147 I just can’t get over how beautiful these water lilies are.  And check out the bee, isn’t that cool!DSC_0154

We finally meet up with Dad and Rachel, but by then Mom had already left to take Laura to the airport.  So we enjoyed most of the other flower gardens without Mom.  The kids were so excited when we saw this Monarch and boy was it beautiful.  It was so orange it almost glowed.DSC_0167 Tired of just “looking” my kids found this lovely grassy hill and rolled down it again, and again, and again, and just one more time, and one more time…DSC_0174Man, they have these flowers everywhere and I just love them!  They are so bright and happy.  I think next year we’ll get some to plant.DSC_0194 We took a little break at the Rose Gardens.  It was quite a warm day, around 100.  It was a really good thing we took some water bottles.DSC_0216Here’s Jessie at the Secret Garden…she got a little too close to the flowers.DSC_0238 OK, I promise this is the last flower picture for this post.  But doesn’t this remind you of a pineapple, kind of?DSC_0241Last of all, we were lucky enough to be there on a night with water games.  And lucky enough most of my kids still had their swimsuits on under their clothes.  So they got another chance to get wet.  I think Conrad went the fastest, and Mark tried to be creative and roll down the slide just like the hill earlier, but it didn’t quite turn out like he had planned.  Lucky us, Mom and Dad picked up pizza on the way home so we could just eat and go to bed.Starred Photos7

You got some great pictures of the kids! Conrad drinking the WATER~! Kids! I am glad you thought of so many different fun and interesting activities! The kids and I had so much fun seeing all of the cool things at the museum! I did think the brushes they had at the sand part were so funny with their six bristles!
The flowers were so beautiful! The kids were so crazy at the little pond! I thought Conrad was going to fall in for sure!!! I thought Dad was so funny getting the kids the fish food!
By the end of the garden my feet were ready to fall off!!!
