On the Saturday before the rest of my family drove out we took Rachel and Becca to Thanksgiving Point. We had never been there before, but it was great!
Inside the dinosaur museum there is a pitch black room with only glowing star dots on the wall and a path with rails on the sides. Spencer loved that room and he and Ken did laps through it again and again. Another of Spencer favorites was this shell that opened with a touch of a button to show the insides. These are all the baby dinosaurs that hatched in my cave. Did I mention how much that cave floor hurt my knees??
Abbie and I colored a square for the large puzzle picture they had going on the wall. I think we did a pretty stinking good job especially since the only crayons left in the bucket were tiny stubs of blue, green and brown, oh, we finally found a yellow for the corner. Jessie and Rachel are building a hill for the dinosaurs to climb.
This was my personal favorite. A giant sea turtle. The span from the tips of his flippers was 16 FEET!
After the museum we drove over to the Children’s Discovery Gardens to let the kids play in the fountain. They had a blast. They also have hedge mazes, caves, a lighthouse to play in and a eco pond all surrounded with gorgeous flowers. If anyone wants to go we can plan a date. (We ended up getting a year pass and you can get in for half price! Am I tempting anyone yet?) These are our TOAST and TOMATO people enjoying the very first tomatoes from the garden.
We did the star on Abbie’s hair for church on Sunday.Monday for dinner we got corn on the cob. The kids found a surprise growing on the top of one of the cobs. Becca was the lucky one who got to eat it.
We had some friends over for FHE that night and afterwards the kids played until it got dark while the parents just enjoyed chatting.

I haven't been to thanksgiving point yet, I really need to take the kids.
It sounds like you had a great time! Love the fun pictures!
Looks like you are having so much fun with your sisters! I love the mailboxes, I'd love to know where you found them. And Spencer on a bike already?! Wow! And kids are great on birthdays. Mine kept telling me I was 21 too, and I was 31! Funny how that used to seem old... I feel so young, don't you? :)
In the last picture on this post, the one where the big kids have the little kids on their backs; I think it is funny how the biggest of the little kids are on the backs of the littlest big kids. Did I confuse anyone? :-)
