We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo

On Tuesday we gathered the crew and headed to the zoo. The highlight of the day for the kids was probably feeding the lorikeets mashed up bananas and vitamins. The kids were each given a small cup of food and the birds would fly right over to you to get some. Here's Conrad. To get to the cup Mark was holding one bird climbed up his jeans using it's claws and beak.

Jessie's turn.
It took the birds a while to find Abbie.
Some good friends gave the kids a little cash to spend on the trip and Abbie and Jessie used theirs to ride a camel. They were so excited to say that they had actually ridden on a camel.
I just love this picture of the kangaroos I got. We went through the Asia and Australia parts of the zoo. We also saw a fun bird show where an owl, a vulture and another bird flew so close to our heads that you could almost feel the feathers. It was very cool. We also caught the sea lion show. Heavenly Father has made so many amazing creatures. It was so awesome to learn about them.
We stopped to pet the sheep in the petting zoo, but Abbie wasn't too sure about them, but they thought the chips she was holding was for them.
And this has been the outcome of every trip to the zoo with my kids. Isn't it sweet?

Which zoo did you go to? All these pictures of MO make me miss my home, St Louis.

Great pictures!
