Payne Family Fun

This is our Spring Break week at a glance!

David flew back to Missouri on Wednesday, but Tuesday was full of packing! To break up the day David came up periodically to show the kids all his fun finds while he was cleaning. This was the BB Gun find. My kids have never even seen a BB Gun and so he showed them how it works. Mark even made a target for he and David to shoot at, but Mark only shot on the two outer rings. The wind was blowing like crazy most of the day and it was pretty chilly as you can see by the coats. Vickie and Jacob, our next-door neighbors, played with the kids for much of the day.
After we dropped Ken's mom (she was going to visit her parents in Washington) and David off at the airport we stopped in and had a fun visit with the Berry's. The kids played with marble works, silly putty and had a great game of chase going.
After the Berry's we had lunch with my Grandma and Grandpa Woodward. We went swinging in the back yard and played with my cousin's dog Barley. We also stuffed 10 knitted balls for the humanitarian project. Abbie and Spencer's favorite thing to do at Grandma's house is play with her stacking dolls from Russia.

On Friday the kids and I all went to the park. After I took a few pictures I joined in on the game of tag. It's a lot harder to go down the slides than I remember! Spencer made me wood chip cakes to eat. He didn't know that what to call the wood chips so he called them cake. A little boy playing near us heard him and told him they WERE NOT cake they were wood chips. "They are not CHIPS!" Spencer told him. "See!" and then he tried to eat one to show the other little boy that they were NOT chips. He finally understood when I explained to him that they are about the same size as chips and that why they are called such.We finished Friday night off with a game of dodge ball in the backyard with the twin boys from across the street. After all that playing we had cinnamon rolls out on the lawn. It was a great day.

Now it's almost one in the morning and Ken is finally done preparing his talk for Sacrament Meeting tomorrow. I know I didn't have to stay up with him, but I like to.
