Ok…So Addie reminded me that she and Heather and I also had a fun girls night out at the Bombay House. Yummy!! We stayed and talk for almost 2 hours. I bet the workers were wondering if we were ever going to leave. Then we came back here and played Yam Slam and had Bavarian Apple Tart for dessert. That was also yummy. Heather loved the Bombay House so much that she took Jessie on a date the next night (or the night after, I can’t remember.) Jessie was on Cloud 9. And the really funny part was that on the way out they saw the Albertson’s there too!
Onward…so this is a picture is of the 8 point deer we saw in our backyard one night while we were putting the kids in bed. When we returned from Missouri there were tons of deer tracks all over the backyard, but we hadn’t spotted any living creatures yet. Boy did they love the dried up apples left on our tree and the bare spot of ground by the fence where our neighbor’s pine tree hangs over. After looking over the tree this deer laid down to rest in that bare spot. The kids were SO EXCITED. Especially since Mark had gone hunting with Brother Albertson and they hadn’t seen anything. Too bad it was a week or so after deer season.
Neil keeping himself occupied while I get Isaac ready for the day. I just love his little legs crossed in the air while he “reads” Calvin and Hobbes.
Jessie is so fun to play with. She has such an amazing talent with little kids. They just love her. She and Neil are having dinner with Isaac’s new stacking toys and Neil’s new food he got for Christmas.
Poor Ken was still sick and crashed on the floor while we were having family scriptures. Neil thought he was a great pillow.
We got quite a bit of snow this year. Hip-hip-hooray! The kids built this little hill for Neil to sled down in the front yard when they got back from sledding at the park.
I bundled Isaac up in all kinds of warm clothes and blankets so he could sit in his car seat on the front porch and watch the kids play outside.
We had so many icicles on our house. Some of the ones outside the bathroom window on the back of the house were so huge they could have hurt you if they fell on you, so I got a pole and knocked them down while the kids were at school. It was funny to sit in the house when it started warming up outside and listen to them fall on the roof and break apart.
After Abbie had a late over and we made beaded animals she and Spencer wanted to make some more. Abbie and I made an owl and we finally finished a flamingo we started a year or two ago. Spencer made himself a frog. Even Neil thought the beads were cool and he and I made a monkey for him. His very own.
Mark really wanted to “go somewhere” so Ken took him and Abbie and Spencer bowling and Jessie stayed home with me and sleeping Isaac….since bowling isn’t her favorite.
I just love this picture of Mark and Isaac. Jessie took it for practice for her photography class.
Neil LOVES to listen to songs. Especially you-tube on the ipad and the songs on Ken’s ipod. He knows just how to get to the songs and can usually pick out the one he wants to listen too. Ken found a new song that he likes called “I’m Alive” by Peter Furler. It’s a noisy song, but still neat about how Christ makes us feel alive and how thankful we should be for that. Kind of fun. The kids, especially Neil and Mark, really love it. So here Mark is sharing the headphones with Neil to listen to it.

Oh yes! The Bombay house was awesome but so was the company! I so loved spending time with you all! Best Mommy vacation ever! The deer story is pretty cool. Oh my gosh Neil's legs crossed and looking at the book is adorable! Jessie is a sweet girl, they both look like they are having fun playing with the new toys. What a fun little hill the kids made. neat action shots. Abbie looks so excited to go down! Your icicles were pretty impressive! your neighbors had some death-cicles! The beaded animals are very fun, Abbie and Spencer's look so cute! Were do you get your patterns for those? Do you have a book or something? Dates with Daddy or Mommy are always fun! Jessie did a great job taking Mark and Isaac's picture! adorable picture of them sharing the headphones.
Bombay House is one of our favorite restaurants! :) I love your little beaded animals. How cute!
