How’s that for a creative headline!
Spencer is the silliest guy. All the kids help with folding laundry when they get home from school. Jessie and Mark take turns folding socks or the kids’ clothes, Abbie does undies and her clothes, and Spencer does towels and washcloths. Anyway, we were folding and somehow spencer got a hold of some tights that were being thrown back and forth between the sock folder and the tights owner as a debate over whose job it was to fold it. And for the next couple of days he came up with the funniest costumes using those tights. Here he is with his horse costume from Halloween, bike helmet, tights and tennis shoes. That kid is good at making me laugh.Abbie lost a top tooth. Yeah…I’m not sure why all her teeth come out late at night….hummmm….
Neil tried rice cereal for the first time and did not like it at all!! We tried again the next evening by putting some in a bottle of milk and he drank it fine. But the following night he wouldn’t even take the bottle with the cereal. So I dumped the cereal-milk out and just got him some milk that I had frozen because he still seemed hungry after he nursed but he wouldn’t drink that either. Silly guy.
Going in to cover Mark up is always an adventure. I honestly don’t know how he can move in the morning after sleeping like this!
Jessie was so excited to get her glasses. All the kids went with her when they came in so they could see them. They were happy to help her pick out a case for them and touch and play with most everything else there at the eye doctor.
We dug up our cannas before it was freezing cold and raining this year!! Yeah us!! The kids were awesome helpers cutting off the stocks, knocking off the dirt and carting buckets full of them downstairs to lay out and dry. Oh my, did we get a lot of bulbs this year! After they finished drying out Spencer helped me fill 10 grocery sacks full of them. Pretty soon our whole house will be surrounded by a 6 foot deep wall of cannas.
Mark hasn’t practiced too much with his bow and arrows lately but one afternoon that sounded like fun. He came and got me when he missed the target, but his arrow went through the bucket the target sat on. I thought these were just practice arrows…..
Jessie was helping me clean out under her bed and I convinced her to throw away her solar oven she and Mark made if I promised to take a picture of it. They did a pretty good job making it; they were able to butter some toast and warm it up enough to sprinkle cinnamon and sugar in it and get it to stick.

Kids and costumes are one of the best combinations! My kids keep theirs in their rooms because they play with them at least once a week!
Too bad Neil doesn't like his cereal, not to brag but Alexander is loving it all! Cereal with water, cereal with milk, peas, green beans, carrots or apple sauce or with cereal (that is all he has tried)hope Neil likes food soon! It is a cute picture though~
Mark looks like his arm is broken! Wow!
Jessie looks so cute in her new glasses! She looks so much like her mama!
The canna pictures are awesome! That is a whole lot of cannas! Wow! We don't have then because I can never remember to dig them up!
It is a good thing it was a bucket and not a kid! Wow, Mark is a good strong shooter!
Conrad now wants to make a solar oven, bummer!
