The new camera lens

I was so excited to try out my new birthday lens…. (a fixed 35 mm lens with an aperture as low as 1.8!)

I love how you can see the water droplets in Neil’s hair!DSC_0164I was trying to get a picture of Spencer, but since this lens does not zoom and I’m not tall enough…I had to just hold the camera up in the air and watch the focus beam to try and get him.  I missed his head, but you can still tell he’s laughing at me.DSC_0165Do you love Neil’s huge goose egg.  The driveway is really unforgiving! (And check out that blurred background!)DSC_0170Here’s a close up I tried of the canna flowers.DSC_0171A picture of our little chicks.  They needed a sign that said “chick crossing.”DSC_0179Our chick tamer. (Do you love Spencer hand reaching in to tickle Rachel so she’d smile.)DSC_0191Jessie had a late-over with a friend and she learned how to make these fun rings out of duck tape.  Did you know duck tape isn’t just black or grey anymore.  You can get flames, paint spots, zebra stripes and all sorts of neon colors….who knew!DSC_0211

DSC_0213We picked up my sister and her family at the airport.  We were so excited to see her cute little girl.  She is just the happiest baby ever!DSC_0004Laura was so patient when Spencer brought out a mountain of books to read.DSC_0006Abbie and Baylee (and silly Spencer).DSC_0010And Spencer with his ginormous leaf he picked off the walnut tree at the neighbors house.IMG_0575

Your new lens is way cool! Happy Birthday Julie! You took some way cute pictures! I do think the chicks could have used a chick crossing sign!

Those rings are so fun! Where did you learn how to do them? Karina loves hers!

That is so neat that you go to spend time with Laura and her family!
