Baby Shower and Family

Ken’s aunt (that I’ve never met) came up from Texas for a visit.  She brought her little 4 month old who was absolutely adorable and so smiley.  It was fun to meet her and have an excuse to have a family get together.  That evening Ken came home a tinch early and picked 6 to 8 cups of strawberries from our garden to share – TASTY! DSC_0021-1I saw these fun felt foods on a blog and Jessie, Abbie and I are making some for my sister’s little 3 year old.  While Megan was over playing we worked on some together.  Here’s the blog http://gingerblossoms.com/index.htm; at first I thought, “wow those are kind of expensive.”  But after making a few I would sell them for three times what she is.  It’s funny how are perspectives change, but it has been a blast to work with Jessie and Abbie making them.DSC_0053DSC_0054Abbie showing off the first peas from our garden.  She and Mark LOVE fresh peas and while Jessie doesn’t like them she thinks it’s great fun to shell them.DSC_0055I was taking a picture of Abbie holding Neil and Spencer wanted to give Neil his first set of bunny ears.  It was pretty funny.DSC_0060The girls, Neil and I went to Salt Lake to my cousins baby shower.  Great-Grandma got to see and hold Neil for the first time.  It was fun to be with family.  And after talking with Em I can’t wait to go to Yellowstone.DSC_0061DSC_0075DSC_0077DSC_0097On the way home we stopped at our friends, but they weren’t home so the girls and I sat in the shade in the car while I feed Neil before we drove back home.  Boy were we hot by the time I finished so we stopped at McDonalds for a shake.  Only when we stopped the girls decided on French Fries…I wish I had joined them because my shake was the worst I’ve ever had.  Oh well.IMG_1054Here’s my new favorite easy hairdo and I actually made it up all by myself.  It looks kind of like a french braid to me, but way quicker.DSC_0001 For FHE activity we played baseball.  This is how Neil spent the game…DSC_0003Spencer and Jessie were on my team and Spencer was our best player, but eventually even I hit the ball.DSC_0011DSC_0016Here’s the handsome pitcher….DSC_0015 And a few more swing shots.DSC_0018DSC_0041Neil kept Ken and I company while we folded laundry.DSC_0048Isn’t he just the cutest!DSC_0056Jessie stitched this pillow for her friends birthday.  It turned out great.DSC_0058

Yay babies!! I'm looking forward to Sunday - I need to see more of that baby! Is he awake more now (like awake ever?)?

Aw... wish I could have been at the shower! I heard baby Neil made an appearance! I love the idea of your summer books for the kids... next year I'll have to get more details! And we spend so much time playing family baseball... glad to know I am not the only one who doesn't always get a hit. :)

I know Karina will love the felt food. I looked at the blog where that lady is selling them and they look so awsome! The on;e you have already made that I saw at your place were so cute!

The baseball pictures are so cute! I am glad someone got a shot of you. There arn't that many of you because you are always the photographer.

Baby Neal is such a cute little guy! I miss seeing him already! Guess I'll have to get my cute baby fix just from our own little guy! I miss you too Julie!
